Thursday, March 12 – HDH General Membership Meeting – Carson City Round Table Pizza, 961 Topsy Ln, Carson City If you plan on eating, please arrive early, the meeting will begin at 6:30.
Saturday, March 21 – Confidence Building Clinic – Stagecoach – Cerena Cooper (MUST REGISER IN ADVANCE. CLICK HERE OR BELOW TO REGISTER).
Clinic is for Members Only. The day will be split into 2 sessions. The early session will be hand walk only, suitable for less experienced riders and/or less experienced horses. This is also great for yearlings and young horses not yet being ridden. The afternoon session will be mounted with a small increase in the difficulty of the props & obstacles. For experienced riders with “been there, done that” horses your participation would be valuable for the group, call me ahead and I will make sure to have things to make your day worthwhile. You are welcome to sign up for just the early session or just the afternoon session or both sessions. Both sessions are designed to start building a cycle of positive experiences that will increase the confidence of the rider, the horse and the pair as a team. We will introduce mild props and obstacles in a controlled manner while practicing multiple techniques for handling stressful situations. Maximum of 10 participants in each session. Cancellations after March 14th are non-refundable unless your spot is filled from the waitlist. This clinic filled up fast last year so don't wait! If you try to register and the clinic is full contact me directly to be put on the waitlist. Cerena, 775-790-3049, cerena713@gmail.com This is a private residence so do not bring dogs. Bring water for your horse, if you sign up for both sessions bring a brown bag lunch.
